2017 Giving Program

Pledge Form
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also
                                           Matthew 6:21
A Giving Team was struck in response to a clear financial need identified during the JNAC (Joint Needs Assessment Committee) Congregational survey. This was enthusiastically supported at the June 11 Congregational Meeting.

You could become actively involved with this Giving Program and work with us to take part in an important ministry in Holy Trinity. The congregational Giving Program:
  • Is an opportunity to inspire you to let us know how Holy Trinity has made a difference in your lives, how it is responding to God’s mission in your lives as people of faith and the life of the community of faith.
  • Invites you to share your gifts to help ensure the ministry continues to thrive
  • Thanks each and every one of you for all you contribute to your missions and ministry
The Giving Team will be talking with you for the next 4 Sundays during the service with a “Moment for Ministry” about the Giving Program.

You can discuss the Giving Program and how you can give thanks for the wonderful generosity with which God had blessed us by contacting any member of our Team.

2017 Giving Program

The response to our needs assessment survey last spring was very encouraging and most helpful in directing our plans for carrying on the legacy of full-time ministry at Holy Trinity United. To that end, we are pleased to announce that an extremely well qualified and experienced candidate in the person of Rev. Cory Vermeer - Cuthbert has responded to our call and she will begin her ministry with us in February 2018.

The purpose of this communication is to invite your participation in our “Giving Program”, created to help put Holy Trinity on a sustainable financial basis. Included in your package are a Pledge Response Record and a return envelope for your use as well as a diagram outlining the Ministry of Holy Trinity.  Your collective preference for full-time ministry was supported by a knowledgeable awareness of the need for increased funding revenues and several people have already taken steps to increase their weekly/monthly giving. We sincerely thank them for that initiative and hope it will encourage others to do the same.  Having allowed a period of time for prayerful consideration, thought, and discernment, we ask you to take the active step of increasing your regular, ongoing giving donations. Your return of the completed Pledge Response Record will help us to meet our continuing financial obligations as well as assist the church treasurer in budget preparations for the coming year(s).

No home visitations for additional requests are planned.  Nobody will be approaching you with a personal request.  This is a one-time request for your increased monetary involvement by means of a pledge to indicate your intentions.  We ask that you complete the enclosed Pledge Response Record and return it by November 12 in the envelope provided. You may leave it on the offering plate, place it in the drop box at the church door, or call one of the committee members listed below and have us pick it up for you. Confidentiality is critical to a successful giving program. No one on the giving team will be aware of your intentions or your choices.  The church treasurer will process all responses in the usual manner for the purpose of providing tax receipts at year-end.  Again, we point out that this program is aimed at financial sustainability over the long term and not a fundraiser aimed at a particular outreach project.

Thank you for your participation and your generosity.  Holy Trinity could not continue without you. Please accept our wishes for blessings for you and your family.
